Our Story
The Dorcas Oyebode Initiative (TDOI) is a nonprofit organisation based in West Africa, Nigeria, founded on 16th February 2025 by Dorcas Oyebode, a passionate Special Education professional and disability advocate.
TDOI was born from a simple belief that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, valued, and given the opportunity to thrive, hence our motto, “love without limits.”
Our work is rooted in the realities faced by persons with disabilities and their families in Nigeria, which include stigma, limited access to opportunities, inadequate support, and exclusion from important spaces in society.
We believe that creating change requires more than awareness alone. It requires speaking up for rights and connecting people to support. We are committed to doing our part to make that right a reality.
